• Today I introduced a bi-partisan bill with Congressman John K. Delaney and several Republicans. When Rep. Delaney presented this idea to me, I told him that I thought it was the best idea of the year. This bill which now has more than a dozen co-sponsors on both sides of the aisle would create a national infrastructure bank to finance the improvement of roads, bridges, and other needs across the country,boost our economic growth and create jobs. • I talked with Chris Jansing on MSNBC this morning about the IRS scandal and the AP phone hacking scandal. I am proud to have introduced the Telephone Records Protection Act, a bipartisan bill with Reps. Amash, Lofgren and Mulvaney, which would protect our civil liberties and the independence of the press by forcing the government to get a court order before being able to access an individual???s phone records.
