Statement on Payroll Tax, UI Extension, and Medicare Fix
Congressman Jared Polis (D-CO) released the following statement on House passage of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, which extends the payroll tax cut, unemployment insurance benefits, and current physician payment rates under Medicare through the end of 2012.
“This bill will keep an additional $1,000 in the pockets of hardworking families, protect health care for our seniors, and extend unemployment insurance for Coloradans still working hard to find a job. It’s unfortunate that obstructionism delayed this needed action but I am pleased that the job is finally done.”
